THE STUDENTS OF OLA-OLUWA MUSLIM GRAMMAR SCHOOL RECIEVE AY NIGERIA GOES TO SCHOOL INITIATIVE.
It was an early morning dose of life transformation as AY NIGERIA GOES TO SCHOOL initiative extended a positive hand of sensitization and awareness on Rape and Gender Based violence to the students of Ola-Oluwa Muslim Grammar School, Ado Ekiti students. The population so teeming though impressive tapped from the source of inspirational words delivered by the initiator and the members of the initiative. A “great turtle and lizard” story which was taken by the initiator, AY NIGERIA held an aphorism which says ” what you sow you will reap, and do to others what should be done to you” and this put a great smile on the faces of the students and the story paved a great route to the sense of the attentive students. Dangers of rape were looked into and some of the risks were highlighted, and some are; high risk of contacting sexually transmitted diseases, such as; syphilis, gonorrhoea, HIV, and mental imbalance, unwanted pregnancy inclusive. The boys were advised that girls are not tools for them to toil with, and the girls were informed never to be weak when they ought to be defensive, wear decent clothes, walk in a company of familiar faces and also avoid late night crawls. So many precautions and cautions were given to the students. The principal and staff members of the school showed their gratitude and assured the initiative of their support in cases of rape or attempts for further follow up.
